City Prosecutor Raul Bendigo through investigating prosecutor Mario Duaves approved the dismissal of the cases filed against Police Officer 3 Arnold Dechavez and Police Officer 2 Enrique Ayao Jr.
The two were tagged by no less than Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte as having connived with drug dealers during a City Council session in October 2006.
Duaves pushed for the dismissal after additional witnesses showed up and additional documents against the policemen were produced.
With the demands of fair play, Duaves noted, the complainant withdrew the cases and might re-file these with the additional evidences.
Following the accusation made by Duterte, the two policemen were charged for various offenses.
