Sunday, February 11, 2007 UM, Brokenshire cagebelles clash
MULTI-titled University of Mindanao (UM) clashes against Brokenshire College (BC) in the women's event at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Davao City Private Schools Athletic Association (DC Prisaa) Meet basketball competition at the UM Matina gym.
The other women's matches pit Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) against DCSP at 10:30 a.m. and Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) against San Pedro College (SPC) at 5 p.m.
In men's category, the RMC Bulldogs collide with BC in the 9 a.m. curtain raiser while the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) battles BC squad at 2:30 p.m. in bracket A.
The Agro-Industrial Foundation College (AIFC) Sailors battles Davao Doctors College (DDC) takes on Davao Doctors College (DDC) in bracket B at 1 p.m.
The cagefest is sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP)-Region 11 under Regino "Boy" Cua.
The formal opening of the DC Prisaa Meet is on Feb. 24 at the UM Matina gym.
Qualified athletes will represent the city in the regional meet on March 9 to 11 enroute to the National Prisaa Finals set April 16 to 21 in Iloilo City.
Soccer and judo are not included in the meet. (MLSA)
