PWC celebrates Fine Arts week
THE Philippine Women's College of Davao celebrated the 20th year of the Helena Z. Benitez School of Fine Arts and Culture's Excellence in Curricular Program Studies in the Arts in Mindanao from February 4 to 10.
A week-long visual art exhibition was held at the Entertainment Plaza of SM City Davao aptly titled 20 POINT 10 - 20 years in the Playground of Our Imagination, Now and Then/ 10th edition of the Annual Student Art and Design Exhibition.
Among the highlights of the exhibition were diverse body of works including paintings, sculptures, photography, fashion styling projects and interior design accessories and showcases as inspired from highly personal to works of alumni artists to endemic themes with universal feel and social significance.
On February 5 to 8, there was a guided gallery visits with instructional film viewing, showing of selected art films all free of entrance fees. On Feb. 6, an Artists Talk was also held.
On February 7 art workshops for kids and hobbyists were held at the Entertainment Plaza while on February 8 an art film showing was held.
Truly, what a great way to celebrate art!
