Weekend with Cheetah Girls
By Rex L. Delmo

IT WAS truly a spectacular and "Cheetalicious" weekend with the Advance Screening Party for Disney Channel's brand new original series -- The Cheetah Girls.

The exclusive event was held last January 27, 3 p.m., at D' Adriano on Ecoland Drive in Davao City with SKYCable subscribers in attendance.

Exciting prizes were given away to the lucky winners of the dance competition. The best group performing an ala-cheetah in outfit and motion was The Cheetah-Mee-Lo-Hago of Davao City National High School.

Taking home the consolation prize in the dance competition was the RMC Lovely Collection. SKYCable subscribers, guests, iClub members, media guests enjoyed exciting line-up of games like "pass the box."

The box was passed around the whole venue and when the music stops, the one holding the box has to open one wrapper and gets to answer the question there. If the question is not stolen from the privileged person, he/she automatically gets one DVD from Disney Channel.

The game continued until all the wrappers were opened revealing simple questions for a chance to get instant DVDs.

Another game was so simple that anyone who can get to the stage and give one Disney program to Host DJ Erica instantly gets a prize, too.

The even only proves that programs of Disney channel are loved by people, and drawing family ties in homes.

Subscribers were surprised when they were told to check under their chairs if they can find a sticker bearing Disney and SKYCable logos and exchange them for DVDs of Disney programs. Ohh, chairs turned upside down.

After the cinematic screening of The Cheetah Girls another surprise drawn the audience to panic and get to pop any balloon scattered in the place and the prize is revealed in a strip of paper placed inside the balloon.

It was a successful event by SKYCable and Disney Channel for all subscribers.

Tune in to Disney Channel to catch Cheetah Girls. The escapade for fame and fortune with our four lovely heroines has just begun.
