Fishing vessel catches fire

A FISHING vessel that docked at a wharf in General Santos City suddenly caught fire Tuesday morning.

F/v Dolores owned by RD Fishing Corporation was docked at Calumpang wharf when the fire broke out at around 10 a.m.

No one was hurt, as elements of the Philippine Navy, Philippine Coast Guard, and the General Santos fire department immediately responded to put out the blaze.

As of Tuesday, authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.

They are also looking out for possible oil spill as a result of the fire. (BOT)
