Dachea sportsfest: GSO, City Engineers nip common opponent

THE General Services Office (GSO) and City Engineer's Office nipped a common opponent at the start of the 2007 Davao City Hall Employees Association (Dachea) Sportsfest basketball tournament at the City Hall drive Monday.

GSO edged Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP), 80-79, in the class A curtain raiser while CEO survived an 78-77 victory over SP in a later match.

The City Administrator's Office downed City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro), 78-68, in another Class A match of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP)-sanctioned cagefest.

In Class B, the City Veterinarian's Office (CVO) crushed City Accounting Office, 54-36, Monday while the City Assessor's Office beat Human Resources Management Office (HRMO), 58-50, Tuesday.

Over at the Rizal Park, the City Mayor's Office (CMO) defeated HMO in women's volleyball competition.

The CMO volleybelles will eye for a second win when they resume action today in the sportsfest supported by Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte.

The annual sportsfest, organized by Dachea, also features bowling, badminton, darts and parlor games. (MLSA)
