Davao riders heavy favorites in Samal

DAVAO City bets are heavy favorites when the IGACOS Festival Cycling Challenge kicks off at 8 a.m. today at the Freedom Park, Barangay Pe¤aplata, Island Garden City of Samal.

Pinoy Votes: Sun.Star Election 2007

Veterans Hilario Ladra, Glen Yap and Glen Iba¤ez are among the must-see riders seeing action in the open elite individual category.

Ladra also leads UMBN in the open team competition while
Yap and Iba¤ez are in the same team with 3MG Trade Center.

Cyclists from Koronadal, Davao del Sur, Tagum and other Davao City teams are expected to put up a stiff competition in the 180-kilometer massed-start race that also features a 40 years old-above veterans event.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and top 10 finishers in the individual open and veterans divisions.

Samahang Siklista Kooperatiba ng Dabaw is co-organizing the race with Karancho-Igacos and presented by the city government of Igacos. MLSA
