THREE persons were formally charged with murder before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office for allegedly killing a Bayan Muna member in North Cotabato almost two weeks ago.
Jone Sarabia, Ronald Bacanto and Antolin Orbino are suspects in the murder of Bayan Muna coordinator Carlito Getrosa in Barangay Midapapan, Pigcawayan last March 11.
In a report, Chief Superintendent Geary Barias, PNP Task Force Usig chief, said murder charges were filed against the suspects last Wednesday before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
Police "Task Force Getrosa" led by Superintendent Marcelo Pintac was able to establish the identities of the suspects based on testimonies provided by three key witnesses in the shooting, including the affidavit complaint of the victim's wife, Alicia.
Getrosa, 49, was shot dead by a lone assailant around 8:30 p.m. outside his home in Midapapan. The victim was shot in the head.
The reports said the killer, along with accomplices that acted as lookouts, fled the crime scene on motorcycles.
It was not known though who among the three suspects was the triggerman.
