RRD-CMO, Vincent share limelight

THE RRD-CMO, Vincent and Mambu teams reaped top honors at the end of the 4th Annual Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte Cup Bowling Tournament at the Dover Mega Lanes over the weekend.

RRD-CMO defeated Davao City Water District (DCWD) in the government division finals to bag the P8,000 championship prize.

Runner-up DCWD received P6,000 while third-placer City Government Ladies got P4,000 and fourth-placer Department of Education (DepEd) took P3,000.

In the commercial event, No. 4 Vincent lived up to its billing by eliminating No. 3 D' Victors-1 and No. 2 Ayang's Catering. Vincent went on to win the title after shocking D' Victors-2 twice in the up-the-ladder finals.

The Mambu all-ladies team captured the private/non-government division crown over Golden Dreamers, Caritas Health Care and SBC Bananeras that placed second, third and fourth, respectively.

The top four teams in each category received the same prizes given to the government division winners.

Robert Balana was champion in the commercial masters game. He prevailed over Eric Engracia and Sunday Bowlers Club president Emie Orteza.

Joe Torres emerged champion in the masters private/NGO event over Jet Isturis and Baby Guerra while multi-titled Mars de Guzman won the masters title in the government side against Lando Largo and Victor Billones.

The individual winners also received cash prizes in the tournament presented by Mayor Duterte and organized by SBC in preparation for the National Fedbop Open Bowling Tournament next month. (MLSA)
