THE Mindanao Business Council (MinBC) facilitated the Strategic Program Planning Workshop of the Armm Business Council (ABC) at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City on March 27 and 28.

With the support of Pearl 2, members of the ABC board and representatives from the local chambers under the council gathered for a two-day thorough planning workshop.

Among the chambers represented were Maguindanao Chamber of Commerce, Marawi Chamber of Commerce, Iranon Chamber of Commerce, Buluan Chamber of Commerce, Basilan Chamber of Commerce, and Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kutawato, Inc.

The program started with messages from Ed Sutherland, Pearl 2 field manager; Jason Magnaye, MinBC executive director; Datu Haron Bandila, ABC chair, and lawyer Ishak Mastura, Department of Trade and Industry regional secretary for Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm).

In his message, Sutherland encouraged the participants to plan well and thoroughly.

Magnaye, on the other hand, reiterated that the activity was a manifestation of commitment of Pearl 2 in helping the autonomous region.

Bandila also expressed his deepest gratitude to Pearl 2 for their continued support to Armm.

Along the process of coming up with a strategic action plan, the participants came up with a Swot analysis and a stakeholder analysis, addressed their corporate concept, and developed the conceptual framework of ABC programs.

At the end of the planning, ABC came up with a carefully drawn strategic plan focusing on organizational development, investment promotion, business support services, policy advocacy, and external communications.
