Orteza said teams are coming from Visayas and Mindanao regions in the meet where Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William "Butch" Ramirez is guest speaker.
The tournament, hosted by the Davao City Bowlers Association (Daciba), offers huge cash prizes and special trophies to the winners.
The men's and ladies champion teams will bag P60,000 each while the runners-up will take home P40,000. The next two placers will receive P25,000 and P15,000, respectively.
"Hindi muna kami nag weekly tournament last Sunday kasi busy na ang mga teams sa pag-eensayo para sa national tournament (We weren't able to hold the Bowler of the Week event since the teams are busy preparing for the national event)," Orteza said.
Orteza said SBC is extending all help it can give to Daciba to ensure the success of the tournament. (MLSA)
