Cebu Pacific in Tagaytay
By Dorothy Bangayan
The Unlonely Planet

THE nearest place to enjoy fine food, fantastic weather and fabulous view in Manila is in Tagaytay, a mere one to two hours drive.

This is why Cebu Pacific Air made it their place of choice to party the night away on March 30 for their annual Eagle awards.

Pinoy Votes: Sun.Star Election 2007 Coverage

It was a retro-themed event with all the guests in their Saturday Night Live outfits. Travel Agents from all over the Philippines and Asia (Hongkong, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur) were all flown in for this special night where the top travel agents are awarded.

Davao has some of the most productive travel agents among the regional areas.

Cornering the Davao market is AE Stream, Ok Travel, Larus Company, Skyteam Travel, Azul Air, Queenstar Travel, Madayao Travel, Courage Cargo, Byteworld and Dimdi.

The different hotels at Tagaytay Highlands were the venue of rest for the tired guests of Cebu Pacific.

Cottage Grove and Cowboy Cabins have air-conditioned nipa huts, depicting country life. At the Belle View, you get a full panoramic view of the Taal Volcano Lake.

Being a condotel, they have one, two or three room suites complete with kitchen, dining room and sala.

Others were also checked in at the Highlands Inn and the very luxurious Spa and Lodge Hotel.

Breakfast was served at the Highlands Country Club before the guests checked out. Not of course after enjoying the great view and their amenities.

This is to celebrate another great year in the travel industry! After all that partying, the guests flew back to do what they do best -- work!

I would also like to acknowledge Francis Espelata for the photo of the fireworks display on the March 29 issue.
