Villar pockets bowling title

JACKY Villar struck anew by hitting a total of 698 pinfalls after three games to pocket the youth division title in the Weekly Datba Tenpin Tournament at the NCCC Mall B3 Center over the weekend.

Villar, who bested Ray Snyder and Manuel Nierra in the championship, had been consistently winning the youth title recently.

Snyder settled for the runner-up honors by rolling 681 pins while Nierra placed third with 658 pinfalls.

The adult title went to Dr. Tony Te who amassed 837 pinfalls over Joshua Disuasido and lawyer Joseph Flores, who grabbed the second and third spots, respectively.

Disuasido made 831 while Flores scored 803 in the bowlfest that will resume on Saturday.

Cash prizes were awarded to the winners of the event organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba). (MLSA)
