Angara saddened by Rody's junking
By Ben O. Tesiorna

TEAM Unity senatoriable Edgardo Angara admitted being sad about City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte's declarations to junk him in favor of Genuine Opposition candidate Koko Pimentel.

In an interview at the Marco Polo Hotel here in Davao City Wednesday, Angara said he could not think of any reason why Duterte junked him. He said though that it was Duterte's decision and he respects the mayor's choice.

"I am sad to hear that. Pero wala naman akong ginawang masama kay (I did no wrong on) Mayor Duterte eh. But I will continue to admire and respect him," Angara said.

Angara expressed confidence though that despite the junking, his chances in the May 14 elections is still high as he promised to continue supporting Duterte and the Dabawenyos especially if he returns to the Senate.

Asked if he plans to seek an audience with Duterte during his visit here in the city, Angara said, "I will let you know after we meet."
