Pichay remains confident command votes will deliver
By Ben O. Tesiorna

DESPITE latest survey showing that command votes is almost non-existent in the country, Team Unity senatoriable Prospero Pichay is still confident that their local leaders would further boost TU's victory in the May 14 elections.

Pichay admitted that the "grassroots flavor will play a huge role in their campaign."

"I am confident that within the next three weeks the administration ruling coalition machinery will have ensured the upper hand for the Team," Pichay said.

The Surigao del Sur lawmaker believes that the combined forces of TU's senatorial candidates and allied gubernatorial and mayoral bets from Lakas and Kampi would lead the administration's efforts to bigger gains in the coming elections.

Team Unity, Pichay said, has the full backing of local administration candidates.

It was learned that five groups of local officials are working for a 12-0 win for TU.

The five blocs are the 1000-strong Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines, the 79 member-governors of the League of Provinces of the Philippines, the 16,000-strong Philippine Councilors League, the Provincial Administrators League of the Philippines, and the League of Municipalities of the Philippines.
