Dole holds four-day jobs fair

THE regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment is holding a four-day Job Fair at Gaisano Mall of Davao starting Saturday.

The fair will be concluded on Tuesday, timed for Labor Day celebration.

"At least jobseekers will have the opportunity to be able to land a job. Domestic and overseas employment will be offered," Dole regional director Ponciano Ligutom.

Dole acting assistant regional director Ofelia Domingo urged applicants to bring along with them their complete resume and grab the opportunity to land a job.

Job opportunities include managerial, supervisory and technical positions provided by leading companies including food and agricultural firms.

Those interested are urged to apply with complete resume, certificate of employment, transcript of records, and other credentials to facilitate placement.

The Dole employment division together with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) through POEA Mindanao chief Francis Domingo will facilitate the registration of applicants.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and the National Statistics Office are also invited to assist in processing of applications.

Applicants are advised to bring credentials for easy processing of documents.

For overseas employment are positions for nurses, domestic helpers, baby sitters, cooks, laborers, drivers, caretakers, shoemakers, marble setters, foodservice crew, laboratory technicians, electricians, accountants, performing artists, physical therapists, beauticians, and other medical positions.
