Good Shepherd wins

THE Good Shepherd Church (GSC) kept its title-retention hopes alive after beating Temple of Praise Christian Fellowship Team B, 99-86, Sunday in the Mayor Duterte Cup Inter-Church Basketball League at the Almendras Gym.

GSC, coached by Rolando Sancho, relied on Rodolfo Duran who led scoring for the team with 21 points. David Reyes, meanwhile, made 22 markers for TOPCF-B.

GSC stretched its win-loss record to 6-1 while TOPCF-B dropped to 3-3.

The Beatitudes Christian Fellowship also annexed a victory at the expense of TOPCF-A, 110-84, while River of God Church pulled off an 82-56 win over Grace Baptist Church Team A.

The top four squads after the single round robin eliminations will enter the crossover semi-final round of the cagefest sanctioned by Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP) regional director Regino "Boy" Cua. (MLSA)
