No official pronouncement was made so far as to the nature of Sara's ailment.

The doctors reportedly ordered no visitors for the young Duterte. She was also advised to rest.

For this, Sara will no longer be able to campaign, just a week before the May 14 elections.

Mayor Duterte expressed his worry for the health of his daughter.

"There must be something wrong with her because she is really in pain. That is why she is advised to rest. So she can no longer campaign," Mayor Duterte said.
