Joysan-Holy Cross wins

THE Joysan-Holy Cross won its opening assignment by beating Davao Jones Academy, 60-52, in the 14 to 16 years old category of the PSC Boys Summer Age-Group Basketball League at the Gaisano South (GS) Citimall Sky Gym over the weekend.

The Stella Maris Academy of Davao (Smad) also shared the limelight by pulling off a 67-64 victory over Ateneo de Davao-B.

Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) downed Ateneo A, 67-65, in the cagefest presented by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP).

In the 13-below event, Barangay Cabantian routed Ateneo B, 66-36, while Holy Child crushed Maxan Trucking, 86-66, in the 17-19 category.

Games will resume on Sunday. (MLSA)
