THE Team Philippines bagged a total of seven gold medals, four silvers and 11 bronzes to grab the 11th spot of the team standings of the 2007 Arafura Games as of Saturday.
Nicolae Sevilla pocketed two golds in junior men's golf gross and net events while Nestia Sevilla added a gold in women's golf gross event and another bronze in the net category.
Boxer Bill Vicera captured the 48 kilograms gold while swimmer Zoe Emilea at last clinched a gold in girls 15-16 100-meter butterfly after winning three bronzes earlier.
In tennis, Filipinos Jordan Cimafranca, Macy Solon copped the golds in men's and women's open singles, respectively.
Cebuanos Kristel Mae Buenacosa and Christian Tiongko won the mixed open doubles gold while the tandem of Solon and Buenacosa took the women's open doubles gold. (MLSA)
