There will be overall gross and net champions as well as division gross and net winners in the 18-hole event which will benefit cancer patients in Davao City.

Prizes are also at stake to anybody who can score a hole-in-one, eagle and double eagle, the rarest shot in golf.

Meanwhile, Lucho Singh, the tournament's organizer, said he is elated that a lot of organizations and individuals are helping him in making the tournament a success.

As of now, sponsors are pouring in like Speak Well Academy, Inc. Jerry Abinsay of Manila, AF Properties, Art Balmaceda and IHOP Restaurant under its president Vince Espino of Hawaill.

There is also Gary Jacod of Tacoma, a sister city of Davao, Rolando D. Ladislao, Ariel Abadilla and Carmelita Singh Fuller and Danny Fuller, who pledged to be patron of the coming tournament.

The event, which will use the Stableford System of scoring, is a fund-raising project to benefit cancer victims in Davao through the Amuma Cancer Support Group Foundation, Inc.

Earlier, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte endorsed the tournament, citing Singh's penchant of helping various city projects under his administration, including Balay Pasilungan. (CRAM)
