Saturday, June 02, 2007 Ateneo jins capture 15 taekwondo golds
THE Ateneo Taekwondo Tigers collected a total of 15 gold medals, 13 silvers and five bronze medals to rule the 3rd Taekwondo Beach Challenge 2007 last week, at the Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort.
The Marco Polo Taekwondo Dojang placed second with 11 golds, 10 silvers and seven bronzes while the Holiday Spa finished third after hauling 10 golds, seven silvers and seven bronzes.
The Rising Dragon Playsite Dojang was fourth with nine golds, 14 silvers and five bronzes in the annual tournament recognized by the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) under regional director Hyoung Joo Kim.
Medals were awarded to the winners of the inter-club youth competition spearheaded by Giovanni delos Santos. (MLSA)
