Davao City was given the green light to host the tournament during the ICBL national commissioners meeting held in Manila in May.

Pastor Gary Visitacion, ICBL National Director said it was unanimously suggested that Davao City will host because of the big support being extended by the local churches together with the City Government of Davao.

Eight teams will be represented in the tournament. Three teams will be coming from Manila, two from Cebu City and three teams from the host city.

"Our objective of this project is to draw our ties closer with the different leagues all over the country. We will also be having a coaching seminar which will be handle by American coaches who will be coming during the tournament," Visitacion said.

To represent the Davao teams are Grace Baptist Church of Pastor Sam Pascual and River of God Church of Pastor Blair Cuares. The third team is yet to be decided by the ICBL executive committee soon.
