Triple whammy

WIND and Wave Davao, the largest fleet in Davao City with 12 boats and jetskis, had a triple celebration party last May 30 at its main office at the PPA Building at Sta. Ana Wharf.

First, they celebrated the recent wedding of president Dr. Albert "Bobot" Pingoy and his longtime girlfriend and fellow WAWD incorporator Dr. Odette "Oding" Valderrama (who made their vows last May 27 at the Redemptorist Church in Bajada).

Second, it was also the party for all the birthday celebrators of the WAWD employees in the month of May.

"We all had to take a break after our peak season this summer," said marketing in-charge Pearl Christy Banzuela.

WAWD incorporators Dr. Jeff Ramos and Gerald Gatapia were present together with new general manager Richard Agrava and administrative officer Eliza Cagandahan.

It was also a welcome party for the staff of Pingoy's new company Aerowurkz led by its lovely manager Karina Cruz.

Aerowurkz, located at the old Davao airport in Sasa, will soon have a flying school and will offer flights to different destinations in Mindanao.

WAWD, on the other hand, is now on its 13th year and is the only Padi (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) International Resort and Retailers Association member in Mindanao.

WAWD's boats are fully equipped and duly certified by the Maritime Industry Authority and have three stations strategically located in the Island Garden City of Samal.

WAWD offers different aqua sports from jetski, kayaking, wake boarding, wind surfing, sports fishing, speed boat, banana boat, island hopping, sunset party, boat rental, intro dive (diving 101), organized day and night dive, dive safari, technical diving and separate courses in scuba diving.

WAWD is also the only certified gas blending and repair station that offers trimix and nitrox gas.

For reservations, call tel. nos. 300-DIVE and 305-DIVE.
