"Kailangan ko na ma-resolve (This has to be resolved) before June 23 and it will be based on the evidence presented by both parties," Fuentes told Sun.Star Davao.
He said the City Government will present two to three witnesses to testify on the need of the government to strictly enforce the ban.
"Mas konti ang (lesser) time for the City Government kasi mas konti 'yung witnesses nila (because they have fewer witnesses), only two to three witnesses lang. So, ang PBGEA, tapos na (already completed) last week, so, its time for the City Government," Fuentes said.
He added that after the presentation of the evidence of both parties, he will decide whether there is basis for the ordinance to be effective.
"Kung ma-implement na 'yan, tapos may 'di mag-follow, liable na 'yan sila (If that is already implemented and then somebody won’t follow, they will be made liable) and they can be charged criminally," Fuentes said.
