According to Ed Reyes, chair of WED-Philippines Movement, during his courtesy call at Tuesday's council session, Davao City is the model to emulate because of the city's environment preservation efforts.

Reyes congratulated the body for being exemplary legislators who are working for the preservation of a balanced ecology and the health of its people.

WED-Philippines also held activities at the Matina Town Suare Tuesday night including a hug fest, which according to Reyes is "a gesture of symmetry, a oneness with and in protection of the environment."

Tuesday's celebration coincided with the city's turn to present its witnesses in court in connection with the case filed by the Pilipino Banana Growers and Exporters Association (PBGEA) for approving the aerial spray ban ordinance.
