Monday, June 18, 2007 Go fires seven 3-pointers as Execs whip Legislators
CITY Sports Coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go didn't waste time and immediately worked from the rainbow area by burying five three-pointers as he led the Executives against the Legislators, 111-105, in the 11th Season of the Executive-Legislative Basketball Tournament at the Davao City Recreation Center.
Despite slowing down in the next three quarters, Go drilled in two more big three pointers to head the scoring charge with 36 points as the Executives tied the series at three-three.
The Legislators took Game five last week with Aldrin Casado scorching hot with 22 points via 100-93 win over the undermanned Executives.
But, on Friday night, it was a different story as the executive assistant of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte found his rhythm in the first quarter, erasing his dismal 17-point performance on a losing cause on June 8.
Casado led the Legislators with 27 points but failed to get the needed output from his teammates at crunch time.
