Competency assessor's course set

THE Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII) and the DCCCII's Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Smed) Center has partnered with the Technical Educationa and Skills Development Authority (Tesda 11) to bring a course for the development of the skills and knowledge of industry practitioners.

The course, dubbed as the Competency Assessor's Course, is slated June 25 to June 27 at the DCCCII training room.

Practitioners from the field of PC operations, welding, food processing, commercial cooking, bartending, housekeeping, baking and pastry production, are invited to join in the course that will start at 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The participants should be practitioners or a teacher/trainer in the trade area for at least two years. He must also be a holder of a National Certificate at the same time or higher level of the qualification where the assessment is accredited, and he must be a practitioner of the field indicated.

The course aims to develop the skills and knowledge of industry practitioners in the assessment administration and methodologies. It is also designed to prepare and orient the industry stakeholders in the critical functions of skills assessment and certification. The assessment fee was put at P2,500 each participant. (JGRS)
