Rody excited about Sara's oath-taking
By Grace L. Plata

REELECTED Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte is more excited about his daughter Vice Mayor-elect Sara Z. Duterte's oathtaking than his own.

"Alangan anak na gud na. Gusto ko nga dalian lang yung sa akin para matapos kaagad in time sa oathtaking ni Inday (That is expected of a father to his daughter. In fact I would want my oath-taking to be rushed so that I can make it to Inday's)," Duterte said in an interview Thursday evening.

According to the mayor, his oath-taking ceremony will start at 8 a.m. on June 30 at the City Hall steps as he had done so in the past. Only this time he will be joined by two more people.

"The congressmen of the second and third districts have signified to join me so we will be having three oath-taking ceremonies with three officiating judges at the same venue," Duterte said.

Duterte added he would have no special guests during the ceremony.

"The Dabawenyos will be my guests that is why I wanted it to be simple para maski kinsa makatambong (so that anyone can attend)," Duterte said.

After his oath-taking, the mayor will be off to the neighboring City Council Building to attend the oath-taking ceremony of his daughter with the rest of the councilors at 10:30 a.m.
