A LEADING architectural firm based in the United States offered to provide the design for the proposed Wellness Center which organizers of the 1st Lucho Singh Invitational Golf Tournament are planning to establish to help cancer patients in Davao City.
The Hawaii-based Durrant Media Five, a leading architectural design firm in the Pacific Rim, signified to offer its services in a letter sent to Amuma Cancer Support Group, the beneficiary of the one-day tournament, which fires off July 8 at the Apo Golf and Country Club.
"Durrant Media Five is pleased to support Lucho Singh in his efforts to raise funds for a Wellness Center for cancer patients and survivors," said Durrant Director of Design Wes Deguchi in a letter to Amuma president Bella Sarenas.
"As part of the Durrant Group, we pair experience in our Pacific markets with the strength and support of nearly 300 architecture and engineering professionals, including experts in the leading trends in health care design," Deguchi added.
Lucho Singh, organizer of the fund-raising golf project, is a good friend of Durrant executives. Durrant, in fact, is also a sponsor of the golf tournament.
Singh, who is also a good friend of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte, another supporter of the tournament, is flying in to Davao from Seattle next week to supervise final preparations for the event.
Singh also announced that IHOP of Hawaii is now a major sponsor of the tournament.
