Tuesday, July 10, 2007 Banlasan outguns Pusod for SBC bowling title
PLUTIE Banlasan hit a total of 250 pinfalls after two games to capture the class A title of the SBC Bowler of the Week Tournament at the Fairlanes Bowling Center Sunday night.
Banlasan beat Vic Pusod and Mel Bojo, who scored 228 and 221 for the second and third place, respectively.
Joe Torres, 15-year-old Kevin Dumlao and Naty Amorillo also shared the limelight in the tournament organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC) under its president Emie Orteza.
Torres, who rolled 224 pins annexed the class B crown, over Boy Lapiz (214) and Rudy Benigno (206).
Dumlao, on his part, annexed the class C title with by garnering 232 pinfalls while Amorillo topped the ladies category with 202.
Cash prizes were awarded to the class champions. They also gained slots to the monthly finals that stake cash prizes to the top three placers. (MLSA)
