Tamugan declared in calamity state
An x-rated movie disc is engulfed in flames and so are other pirated movies, not necessarily x-rated. Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte had these burned to show vendors of pirated DVD/VCDs what will befall them if they persist on selling pornographic movies. (Sun.Star Davao/Rene B. Lumawag)
THE City Council approved a resolution on Tuesday declaring Barangay Tamugan in Marilog district in a state of calamity after it was reported that at least 60 families were affected by landslides in the area since last month.

Proposed by Councilor Diosdado Angelo Mahipus, the move is in response to the resolution and letter request of the Barangay Council of Tamugan sent to the Office of the City Mayor, which was forwarded to the council for proper action.
