Thursday, July 12, 2007 Lasang forces rubber match with Tibungco
BARANGAY Lasang forced a rubber match after beating Barangay Tibungco, 70-66, in the 2007 Duterte Basketball League-Bunawan District elimination Tuesday night at the Bunawan covered court.
Tibungco took Game 1, 78-71, but Lasang played better the next time around to take Game 2 and tie the series, 1-1.
The district champion will move to the inter-district final and join early qualifiers Barangays Mintal, 38-D, and Sasa.
The tournament is presented by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte with the support of the Sports Development Division under City Sports Coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go and sanctioned by Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) Regional Director Regino "Boy" Cua.
