Rody's surgery set in September

DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is not going to the United States to undergo treatment for a shoulder injury; instead, a US-based surgeon is coming over in September to operate on him.

The US-based surgeon will come to the Philippines in September this year to look into Duterte's ailment and operate on him.

The surgeon is a Dabawenyo identified as Dr. Ed Lim, cousin of Antonio "Tonying" Llamas.

Lim is presently connected with Cincinnati University as consultant of the orthopedics department.

The venue of the operation is either at the Asian Hospital, St. Lukes or Cardinal Santos.

The mayor reportedly gave Dr. Lim a free hand to choose which hospital he would like to conduct the surgery.

The procedure is called acromiumplasty.
