Top scientists and science scholars presented technical papers during Plenary and Parallel Sessions.

The theme: "Changing Earth, Changing Lives," is directed towards mobilizing the participants to become proactive players in the field of science and technology, as advocates and as future scientists who will work towards enabling the Filipino society to adapt to the changes in the natural environment, particularly the increasing risks associated with global warming and climate change, to address food supply and safety, and to manage energy efficiency through the development and utilization of renewable energy sources.

The project is implemented by the Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (SEI-Dost) in cooperation with the National Museum, the Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs, DZMM-ABS-CBN, the Science and Technology Information Institute (STII-Dost) and the Philippine Science High School (PSHS-Dost), in celebration of this year's National Science and Technology Week on 16-20 July 2007.
