Havaianas kicks off Pop-Up Shop Friday

FLIP-flops are no longer simply the rubber thong sandal of yesteryear. As evidenced by the Havaianas phenomenon, they have become every fashion diva's footwear of choice.

The transformation of the popular Brazilian brand from footwear staple to international symbol of casual chic proves that design and comfort matter-and this season, Havaianas adds a couple of new styles that will let fashionable feet rock in their favorite flip-flops.

From the brand's regular collection, Havaianas Slim Season in White and Gold, Kids Stars, Kids Lucky and Brasil Baby make their stylish entry into the local fashion scene.

What better way to make a stylish entry than through the kick off of one of the most important Havaianas events of the year: The Havaianas Pop-Up Shop.

The opportunity, combined with the will and desire to dress fashionably has finally paved the way for a cult brand to extend its famed fashion aesthetic to other far out regions of the Philippines.

Introducing The Havaianas Pop-Up Shop, a basic idea brought to life by Terry S.A. (the company that launched the local flip-flop phenomenon) as they recognized the style-sensibilities of the country's southern fashionable contingent.

The Havaianas Pop-Up Shop revolves around Havaianas Philippines' strategy to make Havaianas' brand of cool available in places outside of the provincial cities where a refreshing fashion culture is emerging.

The plan is for kiosks to pop-up for a limited time, allowing locals to enjoy a brief but intensive shopping experience, pack-up and pop-up again in a different place.

In response, the South's style-savvy individuals are able to shop, try out and indulge the distinct Havaianas retail experience without having to cross the metropolis.

The pop-up concept has been adopted by various international retailers globally, with Terry S.A. (Havaianas Philippines) being the first local distributor in this specific industry to use pop-up retail in an effort to reach out and give a unique retail solution to the demand for Havaianas in the Philippines.

"The concept connects with what our consumers want-the answer to their demand for fashion options combined with the element of surprise, exclusivity and buzz," said Terry S.A. managing director for marketing Anne Gonzalez.

So alluring is the idea of having easy access cult fashion must-haves that it basically redefines the idea of shopping.

With this new concept, the store itself is the new "limited edition," which grabs the attention, gives a solution and reinforces the passion that Havaianaticos have for the brand.

So don't miss this chance to be the first to see Havaianas' newest styles as Terry S.A. and Martish Marketing, Havaianas sub-distributors in South East Mindanao, launch the Pop-Up Kick Off at the Paradise Island Beach Resort on August 3-5, 2007.

The Havaianas South East Mindanao team will also "Pop-Up" this Havaianas Shop in KCC Mall. General Santos City on August 10-12, 2007. Mc Gregor's Caf‚, Koronadal City on August 22-24, 2007 and NCCC Mall, Tagum City on August 31 to September 2, 2007.

Havaianas in South East Mindanao is available in Davao: Villa Margarita Hotel, Chimes Specialty Store, Sun Lab, Serapis Anteka, Bliss, CHooCHoo Baby, Pearl Farm Beach Resort, Marco Polo Hotel Davao, Apo View Hotel and Philosophy Salon. Gensan: Contempo Casuals. Koronadal: Mia Lee's Botique.
