Anti-kotong campaign thru text
By Carlo P. Mallo

With the aim of rectifying the Philippine National Police’s marred image, the Southern Mindanao Police Office launched its anti-kotong cop campaign, dubbed as the PNP Text 2920 Anti-Kotong Project, wherein a simple text message is already enough to initiate an investigation.

Through the campaign, the public can immediately text the PNP through text 2920 to report misbehavior and abuses perpetrated by the members of Southern Mindanao police office, to include the Traffic Management Group (TMG) personnel, and other operating units of the PNP region-wide.

The campaign aims to cleanse the police hierarchy of rogue elements.

"Iilan lang sila, but we have to take them seriously as they cause damage to the image of the entire PNP and not only to PRO 11," Chief Inspector Querubin Manalang said.
