Rains to continue during Kadayawan
By Carlo P. Mallo

THE first week of the Kadayawan celebration might be a rainy week, the Philippine Atmospheric and Astronomical Services Administration (Pag-asa) said.

A weather forecast of the Pag-asa shows Davao Region will have mostly cloudy skies for the entire week.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue to prevail in the late afternoon until the evening.

Light to moderate winds will be blowing from the southwest and western directions of the region.

Coastal waters will be relatively calm.

Moreover, the city will experience warmer weather conditions with temperatures ranging from a low of 23 degrees Celsius to a high of 32 degrees Celsius.

The prayer for rain in Luzon may soon be answered as Pag-asa also predicts that rain might start to trickle in drought-stricken Luzon. But this may not be enough to alleviate the water shortage.

However, no tropical storm or any other weather disturbance has been reported as of Sunday.
