LEE Vann Corteza is seeded in the main draw of the fourth annual San Miguel Beer (SMB) Philippine 9-Ball Open in September.
The Davao City-born Corteza, who recently booked a slot in the Guiness 9-Ball Tour Grand Championship Final in Bali, Indonesia on August 31 to September 2, 2007, will join fellow Dabawenyo Leonardo "Dodong Panacan" Didal, who was runner-up last year, in the main draw.
Two-time defending champion Francisco "Django" Bustamante, Mike "Choke" Takayama, Carlo "Cool" Biado, Ronato "Volcano" Alcano, Marlon "Marvelous" Manalo, Efren "Bata" Reyes, Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan and Jose "Amang" Parica are also seeded.
The Davao leg of the SMB cuefest will unfold on Saturday and Sunday, at the NCCC Mall B3 (Bowling, Billiards & Bar) Center.
Over 100 participants are expected to see action in the double-elimination format tournament.
Davao's top four players will earn tickets to the 32-man main draw.
Players may register at NCCC Mall B3 Center until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Registration is P1,500 with one free case of SMB Pale Pilsen to be given to every registered player.
