Mati mayor allots P1M for each village
By Ben O. Tesiorna

MATI City Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat recently committed the allocation of P1 million for each barangay as development assistance fund from the City Government.

During a recent Barangay Development Council (BDC) meeting, Rabat said she wants to give the barangay officials a free hand on what to do with the money for as long as it is for the development of their barangay.

The BDC is planning to create a Barangay Annual Investment Plan with projects that are based on minimum basic needs of the barangay such as water, shelter, and education.

Rabat said the actual identification of projects will be done by the barangay's themselves with the city just providing the needed support.
