A MEMBER of the Civilian Volunteers Organization was in critical condition and will undergo surgery after he was shot on Sunday morning by still unidentified man while on patrol in Digos City.
Confined at the Davao Medical Center (DMC) is Ricky Andrade, 31, a resident of Barangay San Miguel in Digos city.
According to the report from the DMC, the incident happened at around 1 a.m. Sunday while Andrade, with his two companions, were on foot patrol.
"Tulo daw ni sila nag-roving. Nakit-an nila tong kadudahan nga tao, gibilin niya iyang mga kauban, siya lang miduol iyang gisita. Armado man diay, gipusil siya (Three of them were on patrol when they saw a man. He left his two companions to accost the man who turned out to be armed. He was shot)," said the guard at the DMC.
