Man peppered with 4 bullets, barely survives
By Rhodamae M. Hernandez

A MAN is still fighting for his life, with three gunshot wounds in his back and one in his face fired at him by unidentified assassins at the corner of Quimpo and Sandawa Road in Matina on Monday morning.

Police identified the victim as Randy Velasquez, a driver and a resident of Interior 77 in SIR, New Matina, Davao City.

Velasquez was waiting for a bus to ride near the corner of Sandawa Road in front of Regis Electrical Shop along Quimpo Boulevard at around 7:35 a.m. Monday when two armed men on a motorcycle shot him from behind.

The victim tried to run away but was chased by the suspects who shot him again. The gunmen only left after he fell to the ground, bloodied.

Velasquez was brought to the Davao Doctors Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Recovered from the crime scene was an empty shell of caliber .45 pistol.

Police still do not have any suspect, nor do they have any lead yet on the motive of the killers.
