VITARICH Corporation, the pioneer in animal and livestock feeds in the country, has once again bagged the award for the cleanest dressing plant in Southern Mindanao for its Tugbok dressing plant in Davao City.
Besting five other dressing plants including Bounty Farms and Purefoods, Vitarich has won the award for four consecutive years.
This annual sanitation assessment exercise is conducted by the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS) of the Department of Agriculture to maintain good manufacturing practices and full compliance to the requirements of meat processing.
Vitarich's Tugbok dressing plant is now the official representative of Southern Mindanao to the national finals of NMIS's search for the cleanest dressing plant in the country.
Vitarich chair and president Rogelio Sarmiento said he hopes the award will inspire other meat processing plants to strive for quality to better serve its clients.
Sarmiento lauded the NMIS for recognizing Vitarich's efforts to provide only high quality meat products.
"This citation will serve as encouragement for Vitarich to continue pushing for excellence through active research and development (R&D) and innovative advancements in technology," Sarmiento said.

Vitarich dressing plant in Davao was constructed in 1994 to meet the growing demand of the market in Southern Mindanao.
Vitarich strictly follows international standards and is currently the only feed manufacturing company in the Philippines that has a Research and Development Center (VRDC) which houses new technology machineries, as well as state-of-the-art quality control and analysis equipment.
Today, as the pioneer, it continues to bring in the latest technology, research and development to meet international standards and give the local market the best of the best.
