Davao's Peñano set to join AFC coaching course in KL

DAVAO Football Association's David Dwight Peñano was chosen as one of the participants in the Asian Football Confederation Project Future Course for Coaches 2007 on October 22 to 31 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He passed the AFC C Certificate Coaching Course conducted by Bader Abdul Jalil Shehab of Kuwait. It was held during the AFC U13 Festival of Football held on May 26 to June 10 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

Online memorial for Cebu's Nenita "Inday Nita" Daluz. Post testimonials here.

Peñano is the head coach of the Ateneo High School football teams and the DFA Center for Football Excellence (DFA CFE) that began November 2003 in an effort to hone the skills and talents of players who stood out from mass-based programs.

Two of DFA's players, Darwin Salavia and Ken Hager, were selected to the RP U14 National Youth Squad that played in the 2006 AFC U14 Festival of Football in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Peñano's wards Derrico Gabriel Diamante, David Angelo Diamante, Amani Aguinaldo and Karell Gatmaitan were members of the RP U13 National Youth Squad in the 2007 AFC U13 Festival of Football held last summer.

Peñano was the lone Filipino participant in the group of 23 coaches coming from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar last summer.

He was the assistant coach of the All-Star squad that played against the selection of coaches during the closing ceremonies of the 2007 AFC U13 Festival of Football. (MLSA)
