UM shuttlers pocket ladies doubles title

UNIVERSITY of Mindanao (UM) shuttlers Anabel Sevilla and Mary Ann Fronteras pocketed the level B ladies doubles title in the Yonex-Sunrise Regional Badminton Championships in General Santos City Sunday.

Sevilla-Fronteras lorded it over Kidapawan bets in the Philippine Badminton Association (PBA)-organized meet supervised by national coach Errol Chan.

In level B mixed doubles, Davao City's Agnes Atienza and Nielvin Ybañez annexed the crown against runner-up Laguna pair.

Camille Yang of the Laguna Wackers ruled the 15-under singles event while Yang-Ramos won the doubles crown.

The single round robin format tournament also attracted participants from Manila, Marawi, Cotabato, Tacurong, Koronadal and Guingoog. (MLSA)
