The soldiers said they were ambushed by unidentified gunmen that night. But another report, however, said the grenade explosion was an accident.
The soldiers were allegedly drunk and were on their way to their headquarters onboard a 6x6 military vehicle when one of the soldiers accidentally took the pin off the grenade.
The wounded soldiers are now recuperating at the Kabacan Medical Center.
