Mechanics of the league will be discussed during the meeting to be spearheaded by top officials of the organizing Davao Football Association.

Some 10 teams and clubs are expected to compete in the bootfest including Columbia, Davao U-19 /Columbia, Medvil, Lumad Nuevo, Hooligans Football Club (FC), Davao United FC, Los Viajeros, Brokenshire College, San Pedro College, Garuda FC, and Fil-Chi FC.

It will be a single round robin format in the first round where the first five teams and the next five teams will form different brackets. Teams in each bracket will again play another single round robin where the top team will win their respective division title.

The competition is expected to end by January next year allowing the teams and players to have more exposure in competitive football.

"It will give participants more learning experience to enable them to develop their skills," a DFA statement said.

Registration fee is P5,000.

Other interested teams may still sign up and are welcome to attend the meeting. (MLSA)
