Thursday, September 20, 2007 Date '07 to surpass P106.8-M in sales
THIS year's edition of the Davao Trade Expo (Date) is expected to surpass last year's sales of P106.8 million, said Davao City Chamber of Commerce and industry (DCCCI) trustee and Date advocacy committee chair Andre Joseph Fournier.
Fournier said DCCCI is also expecting to draw more than 200 exhibitors, surpassing last year's participants of 123 companies, which occupied 113 booths.
He said they are anticipating the participation of foreign chambers of commerce and foreign companies during the four-day trade exhibition.
The 9th Date 2007 is set on October 25 to 28 at the NCCC Mall of Davao convention center in Matina, Davao City.
Date 2007 provides exhibitors, advertisers and sponsors many unique opportunities for high impact marketing of products and services to the progressive and emerging markets of Davao City and the rest of Mindanao.
The exposition affords sponsors and local exhibitors the breadth and depth of product exposure as the Date event coincides with the holding of the BIMP-Eaga business conference in Davao City.
This rare opportunity to showcase Davao's best to a wider audience compelled DCCCI to move the Date's hosting in partnership with Davao City, specifically the Davao City Investment and Promotions Center.
This year's theme: "Invest in Davao-Gateway to BIMP-Eaga" will open opportunities and encourage investments in the region through establishing linkages between local and foreign exhibitors and buyers.
The theme rides on the crest of the BIMP-Eaga conference in the city whose member countries shall join in the exhibit, showcasing their own products.
