Ayao said the foreigner was with the Chin Long FA fishing vessel, which was docked at the Toril fishport.
Initial investigation showed the man was drinking with his fellow crewmembers starting 7 p.m. of September 17 inside their fishing boat.
As the fishing vessel was set to return to Indonesia, the crewmembers were already preparing to set sail and noticed that Suharsomo was nowhere to be found.
"Pagka-buntag mga 8 a.m. nag-head count na sila, nabantayan sa mga kauban nga kulang sila'g isa (By 8 a.m. of the following day, a headcount was conducted and it was confirmed that one was indeed missing)," Ayao said.
The victim’s companions at the Chin Long FA tried to locate him but failed, and thus had to postpone their departure.
The body was found floating at around 7 p.m. of September 18.
"So far, 'di pa ta kasulti kung naa o wala ba'y foul play kay nag-request pa ta og autopsy sa patay'ng lawas (We can't say yet if there was foul play because we are still requesting that an autopsy be made on the body)," Ayao said.
