2nd Escandor Cup resumes Saturday

GAMES in the 2nd Escandor Basketball League will resume on Saturday and Sunday at the Emcor covered court in Bajada.

Operations manager and sports coordinator Romel Pawaon, who guested at the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum Thursday at the Tower Inn, said the tournament opened last weekend.

"The tournament opened last weekend. There are two brackets in the meet where the teams in each bracket will play the single round robin format," Pawaon said.

The teams with 10 straight wins will enter the best of eight semi-finals. In the semis, the teams will again play the single round robin format where the teams with five straight wins will play in the best four finals.

Seeing action in bracket A are GHQ-Dasia, AdDU-High School, BPI Express, Dasia-Digos, Davao City Water District (DCWD), AC Eagles Team and Globe Dream Team.

The Genesis 88, AdDU College, SSS Knights, Mandaya Hotel, Dasia-Gensan, RCBC Savings and UM Maroons are entered in bracket B. (MLSA)
